Floral greenhouse

This area occupies a 410m² surface in the little cold greenhouses. It is an exposition place for horticultural plants and specimen belonging to collections that the public can’t see in its totality such as Pelargonium and Peperomia. The plants that are exposed change all year long following the flowerings.
 
THE EXPOSITIONS :



chrysanthemums exposition
 
  • In autumn : 475 Chrysanthemums and some "Amaryllis" (Hippaestrum hybrids)
  • In winter : horticultural Azalea hybrids (10 big vats and 10 small ones) in the end of February : presentation of the oldest specimens (about 160 years old) in big vats.
  • At the beginning of spring : 200 Kalanchoe

Cyclamen

  • From December to May: Cyclamens and primroses
  • In spring : horticultural Calceolaria hybrids (selection and production of seeds at the Botanical Garden), Senecio, cyclamens, primroses, some Pelargonium
  • In summer : various annual plants : Exacum affine, Streptocarpus, some bromeliaceae, several Coleus cultivars, horticultural Coleus hybrids, tuberous Begonia
  • In the middle of September : peppers and Solanum pseudocapsicum
